Style 1 Electric Tricone.

Hawaiian neck, Serial number unknown.

This is one of two electric tricones we know of.

This is a style1 Hawaiian model with the cones and 't' piece replaced by a lump of painted wood, a fixed bridge, and a 'pass through' magnet pickup.

Sadly I only have this one picture, given to me in Paris, France in about 1990. The pickup looks like it may have come from a Rickenbacher. I presume that the instrument still exists, and would be very pleased to hear more about it so that I can put the information here.

If anyone can tell me why it was common to position the jack socket on early instruments so the cord and plug stuck into the players stomach I'd love to hear a good explaination!
